The approach to sculpture manifested itself as a necessity, a need to express oneself through the third dimension, a faculty that obviously painting could not offer.
Sculpture therefore proved to be the translation of painting. What took place on canvas and could not always be exalted in the terms desired by the artist was transposed and transfigured thanks to bronze. Here a peculiar and specific element of the Master’s art is missing: color.
The game then focused on the shapes, figures, lines, directives and matrices that arise powerfully and elegantly from the bronze material. The configurations obtained were dynamic, alive, they carried movement, and celebrated it in a completely personal, unmistakable restitution.
