Drawing was for Pizio an extremely natural and direct act. Many people remember the speed of his strokes, which were essential and complete at the same. There are several anecdotes concerning the execution of these sketches. Pizio never missed the opportunity to express himself through every form of art, therefore any surface and any material were a good pretext to sketch out a sensation, a feeling. It was not essential for him to have paper, pencil and charcoal, even a napkin and a little bit of coffee were fine. The various materials were used as equally effective means of expression whether they were preparatory acts or drawings that could be used in their entirety. The cleanliness of the lines, as shown in the following images, was still able to restore the totality and fullness of meaning that a work of art requires.
