Oil paintings

Pizio’s artistic production was very rich and varied; he adopted many styles and techniques during his artistic training and career.
Tomaso Pizio came to painting to express his soul, his humanity and his emotions.
The former figures were delimited and defined within precise contours, but when Pizio decided to eliminate the screen between himself and the canvas, when he decided to reveal himself – pushed by his wife, Ida – these lines “exploded” in their entirety, force, passion and spirituality, giving the observer a recomposition of shapes and feelings thanks to the chromatic matrix.
Color was his most faithful ally. Through the colors tasted and experienced in his Valley and those faced in a tormented way during the removal from his native country, the Master spoke to the viewers openly and faithfully about himself, but he was able, at the same time, to offer them a mirror of their souls.
His later paintings included many compositions made by contrasting patterns, lights and colors, so he reached more complex chromatic effects.
